13th Embassy Essay and 9th Speech Competitions Concluded in Kathmandu

    EDUCAST, Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu organized the award-giving ceremonies for the 13th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing Competition and the 9th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition-2026 today. H.E. Abrar H. Hashmi, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

    To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, this year’s essay topic focused on “Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah mainstreaming the demand for Pakistan through constitutional means.” The position holders are:

    • 1st Position: Mr. Pratik Pokhrel (Viswa Niketan Secondary School, Kathmandu)

    • 2nd Position: Dakshesh Ghimire (Chand Bagh School, Kathmandu)

    • 3rd Position: Nitin Thapa (Pranjali World School, Kathmandu)

    The winners received certificates of achievement and cash prizes, while the next twelve best-performing essay writers were also honored with special cash prizes and certificates.

    Simultaneously, higher secondary and tertiary level students passionately advocated their viewpoints on the contemporary speech topic, “Will AI Engulf Libraries?” The top spots were secured by:

    • 1st Position: Ms. Vishwakala Nepal (Reliance College, Kathmandu)

    • 2nd Position: Mr. Tshiring Tamang (National Law College, Kathmandu)

    • 3rd Position: Bipyum Chaulagain (St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar)

    The remaining twelve participating speakers were also presented with certificates and cash prizes. A significant number of Nepalese students representing more than 50 higher secondary schools and universities participated in the dual competitions, which unfolded in phases over the past two weeks before culminating in today’s grand finale.

    In his concluding remarks, Ambassador Abrar H. Hashmi lauded the participants for their critical thinking and insightful analysis of pivotal historical and futuristic themes. He highlighted that the students’ deep understanding of constitutional efforts and Jinnah’s legacy would hone a shared intellect, serving as an abiding bridge to connect the youth of both nations. Held consecutively for the past 13 and 9 years respectively, these annual events remain highly popular among Nepalese youth, attracting the brightest minds from across the nation.
