The University of Law Business School, in collaboration with GUS, hosted a masterclass in Nepal led by Dr. Andres Perez Ruiz, showcasing ULaw’s global academic strengths. Key leaders emphasized the university’s commitment to real-world education and South Asian engagement. The event concluded with a networking session, strengthening ties with partners and promoting opportunities for Nepali students in the UK.
The University of Law Business School (ULBS), in collaboration with Global University Systems (GUS), successfully organized the Engage Forum by ULaw, featuring a high-impact masterclass led by Dr. Andres Perez Ruiz, Director of ULBS. The event, which attracted aspiring students, education professionals, and key academic stakeholders, was a part of ULaw’s initiative to connect with prospective learners and partners in South Asia.
Dr. Andres Perez Ruiz, an academic leader with over 20 years of global experience across four continents, delivered an insightful masterclass that explored how ULaw prepares students for real-world success through a unique blend of academic rigor and professional relevance. “At The University of Law Business School, we believe in nurturing globally competent graduates,” said Dr. Perez Ruiz. “Our curriculum is designed to blend theoretical knowledge with practical skills that employers truly value.”
Highlighting the institution’s credentials, the event showcased ULaw’s positioning as the UK’s largest provider of legal education*, a QS 5-star-rated university, and a trusted partner of 91 out of the top 100 law firms in the UK. The University also proudly holds a TEF Overall Silver 2023 rating and was ranked in the top 10 for teaching in the UK by the National Student Survey 2024.
Ms. Ula Tang-Plowman, Executive Director International and Vice Chair of BUILA, emphasized ULaw’s global outreach and commitment to student mobility. “ULaw’s international partnerships are grounded in quality and opportunity. We continue to invest in markets like South Asia because of the immense potential we see in students here,” she shared.
Dipansh Singla, Global Director of Student Recruitment at GUS, spoke about ULaw’s global ambition. “This forum reflects our strategic focus on expanding access to world-class education. At GUS, we see Nepal as a hub of talent and determination, and we are committed to supporting this educational journey through our partnerships.”
Regional Director for South Asia at The University of Law, Mr. Raju Poudel, highlighted the growing interest of Nepali students in UK education. “We are seeing a surge in demand for high-quality UK degrees among students from Nepal. ULaw offers the right blend of career-focused programs and industry engagement, making it an ideal destination,” he stated.
Adding a localized perspective, Ankit Dhakal, Business Development Manager for Nepal at The University of Law, said, “Events like this masterclass create meaningful touchpoints for students and partners. The masterclass was followed by partners’ meet and greet networking session in the evening, where education agents, institutional partners, and delegates from various organizations interacted with the ULaw leadership team. The informal networking event allowed attendees to explore collaboration opportunities and gain a deeper understanding of ULaw’s academic vision and international strategies.
