EDUCAST, A grand educational leadership event titled “Back to Canada, Back to Leadership” was successfully held at Hotel Marriott, Kathmandu on July 11, 2025. The event aimed to highlight higher education opportunities in Canada and promote collaboration between Nepalese education consultants and Canadian universities.

The program was organized by Global University Systems (GUS) Canada, featuring leading institutions such as University Canada West (UCW) and the newly launched University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF). Distinguished speakers included Mr. Bryan Vythilingum, Vice President of International Student Recruitment at GUS Canada, and Mr. Kalyaan Mohan, Regional Director, University Canada West.
They shared key updates about their institutions and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Nepalese students in their academic journeys. Mr. Bryan Vythilingum introduced UCW’s business-focused academic offerings including the Bachelor of Commerce, BA in Business Communication, and the MBA program with specializations in Marketing, Finance, and Business Analytics. He also highlighted UCW’s central Vancouver location as an added advantage.
Mr. Kalyaan Mohan introduced the University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF), a next-generation institution focused on innovation, technology, and future-ready programs. Key offerings include the Bachelor of Applied Computer Science, Bachelor of Business Administration, and a Master’s in Data Analytics and Digital Media. Mr. Netra Koirala, Associate Director of UCW & UNF, thanked all participating consultants, counselors, and education stakeholders for their presence and ongoing support. He acknowledged the crucial role played by Nepalese partners in strengthening UCW’s presence in South Asia.
Participants from various leading consultancy firms shared their positive experiences working with GUS Canada and expressed appreciation for the universities’ student-centered approach, timely responses, and transparent systems. They encouraged more such events for knowledge sharing and direct collaboration. The event concluded with an engaging networking session where attendees discussed admission timelines, course selection, and future partnership possibilities for the September and January intakes.
