EDUCAST, The Free Educational Consultancies’ Organization Nepal (FECON) successfully organized an Information Session on Study in Finland at Nepal House, featuring Birju Patel, Regional Advisor (Asia) for the University of Vaasa. The event aimed to provide detailed insights into Finland’s education system, study opportunities, and pathways for Nepalese students aspiring to pursue higher education in Europe’s leading academic destination.
The session began with a warm welcome speech by Gagan Bista, Vice President of FECON, who highlighted the importance of global academic exposure and Finland’s growing appeal among international students. He expressed that such collaborative sessions not only inform students but also strengthen the relationship between Nepali educational consultancies and reputed global institutions.

Birju Patel delivered an in-depth presentation about the University of Vaasa, covering its diverse academic programs, modern research facilities, and the university’s strong emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship. He explained Finland’s student-friendly policies, affordable tuition structure, and opportunities for post-study work. His presentation also addressed Finland’s global reputation for quality education, safe environment, and technological advancement.
Speaking on the occasion, FECON President Umesh extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to the representative and attendees. He emphasized the importance of exploring new and emerging destinations like Finland for higher studies, alongside other popular study destinations. He further encouraged FECON members to stay active and work collectively to promote diversified educational pathways for Nepali students worldwide.
The program was conducted by Dipendra Pokhrel, General Secretary of FECON, who efficiently coordinated the session and interactions between participants and the representative. The event also saw the presence of FECON IPP Raju Niraula and numerous FECON members, who actively participated in discussions and expressed keen interest in the Finnish higher education model and its relevance for Nepali students.
