EDUCAST, The America STEM Strong 2026 event was successfully organized at Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights, bringing together education leaders, university representatives, and more than 110 education consultancy professionals from across Nepal.
The program formally began with a welcome speech by Mr. Netra Koirala, Associate Director at InUni, who highlighted the growing importance of STEM education in the United States and the role of collaboration between universities, recruitment partners, and consultancies in guiding students toward quality global education opportunities.
The event was jointly inaugurated through a traditional diyo lighting ceremony by Mrs. Blerina Polovina, Associate Vice President – International Student Recruitment & Partnerships at InUni, and Mr. Marty Bennett, Director of International Recruitment and Engagement at the University of Akron. During the ceremony, the official logo of the University of Akron was also publicly unveiled.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Blerina Polovina shared InUni’s continued commitment to supporting education agents and international students through transparent processes, institutional partnerships, and reliable student services. She emphasized strengthening cooperation with Nepali consultancies to ensure ethical recruitment practices and student success.
Mr. Marty Bennett delivered a detailed presentation on the University of Akron, outlining its academic strengths, particularly in STEM disciplines, research opportunities, scholarships, campus facilities, and career outcomes for international students. He also addressed education consultancies directly, encouraging long-term collaboration to expand access to quality American higher education for Nepali students.
The session further featured Ms. Ashna Shrestha, Business Development Manager at Herzing University and LIM, who shared valuable insights on academic programs, admission pathways, and student support services available for international applicants.
Similarly, Ms. Nisha Bhattarai, Sr. Business Development Manager of the University of Akron, provided additional information on application procedures, visa preparation support, and scholarship opportunities, and later delivered the formal vote of thanks on behalf of the organizers.
The overall coordination and successful execution of the event were led by Mr. Jugal Acharya, Sr. Business Development Manager at Avila University, who served as the event coordinator.
The program concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participating agents actively engaged with the speakers on topics including admissions, compliance, post-study work opportunities, and student employability in the United States.
With strong participation, informative sessions, and positive networking outcomes, the America STEM Strong 2026 event was widely regarded as a productive platform for strengthening academic partnerships and promoting the United States as a leading destination for STEM education among Nepali students.
