11th Japanese Language Speech Contest by JALSAN Concludes Successfully, Winner Awarded Laptop

    EDUCAST, The Japanese Language Schools Association Nepal (JALSAN) successfully organized its 11th Japanese Language Speech Contest in Kathmandu. The event was held at Alpha House under the chief guestship of Shinto Yasuharu, Deputy Chief of Mission/Counsellor at the Japanese Embassy in Nepal.

    In the competition, Bishal Tamang from Misaki Japanese & International Language Education Center secured first place and won a laptop. Aman Kumar Yadav from Oasis Education Consultancy stood second, while Sushant Sapkota from Open Vision Education Foundation finished third.
    Fourth place was jointly secured by Pratiksha Gurung from Hartford Education and Ishak Miya from Kokorozashi Japanese Culture & Research Center.

    As prizes, the first-place winner received a laptop, the second-place winner a mobile phone, and the third-place winner a tablet. A total of 15 students from various Japanese language schools participated in the contest.

    Addressing the program, chief guest Shinto Yasuharu expressed his appreciation for the speech contest organized by JALSAN, stating that such initiatives help strengthen the long-standing relationship between Nepal and Japan. He highlighted the role of Japanese language and cultural programs in promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.

    Chairperson of the program and Acting President of JALSAN, Mahesh Shrestha, thanked all contributors and stated that JALSAN has been continuously organizing Japanese language speech contests since its establishment to enhance language proficiency and confidence among students aspiring to study in Japan. He also reaffirmed JALSAN’s commitment to organizing more refined programs in the coming years.

    The event was attended by Mizuki Machuzaki, Chief Representative of JICA Nepal, as a special guest. The program was jointly hosted in Nepali and Japanese by JALSAN General Secretary Arun Pandey and Secretary Koshraj Giri.

    Presented by Everest Bank, the event was supported by several sponsors including Arya Travels, Skyline Travel & Tours, JLCT, Sakura Japanese Language Academy, Asia Education Group, Iwatani Business School, Reliable Life Insurance, Jesert, East Bridge, Lake City International, and Nepal Lab House. Alpha House served as the hospitality partner, while City Pay was the payment partner.
