EDUCAST, The International Education & Global Career Summit 2026, aimed at equipping Nepali students with knowledge and strategies for pursuing higher education abroad and building global careers, concluded successfully at The Everest Hotel, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu. The summit was jointly organized by Orbit International Education and Straw Holdings, in collaboration with MPOWER Financing, and attracted students, educational consultants, and university representatives from across the country.
A key session was led by Pritesh Jagani, widely known as Mr. Yudi, who challenged the common “university-first” approach many students take. Jagani urged participants to follow a strategic sequence: Career Clarity → Right University → Strategic Funding. He explained that many students often choose institutions based solely on reputation and only later consider how the education aligns with their career goals. His insights encouraged students to take proactive control over their international education journeys.
The summit also highlighted the importance of soft skills and professional networking. Claire Almand, Growth Marketing Director at MPOWER Financing, shared practical strategies for building genuine relationships. She emphasized four pillars: engaging with curiosity rather than transactional intent, projecting positivity, embracing authentic confidence, and stepping out of comfort zones to take calculated risks. A signature interactive activity, “Networking Bingo,” helped students practice these skills, sparking confidence and engagement among attendees.
Beyond personal growth, the summit addressed broader issues like brain drain. Speakers collectively encouraged students to gain global exposure while maintaining a commitment to Nepal. The message “देशको सेवा गर्न फर्किनुस” (Return to serve the nation) resonated throughout, highlighting the value of contributing acquired knowledge and skills back to the local economy.
Adding energy and enthusiasm to the program, Jasmine Acharya, the professional host, along with “Hype Man” Utkarsh Roy, ensured a balanced mix of technical sessions and interactive segments. This combination kept the audience engaged while reinforcing key messages about career-led education planning and financial preparedness.
The summit emphasized that securing admission to a university is only the first step. Ahad Farhan, Partnerships Manager – South Asia at MPOWER Financing, highlighted that students need a clear roadmap for their future careers and financial planning. “Simply enrolling in a university is not enough; understanding one’s career path and funding options is equally important,” Farhan said, stressing the importance of aligning education with long-term professional goals.
The summit concluded as a landmark event, providing students with insights, skills, and motivation to pursue international education while remaining mindful of contributing meaningfully to Nepal’s development.
