Mid-Valley International College launches international diploma programs affiliated to City & Guilds, UK

    KATHMANDU: Mid-Valley International College has launched International Diploma Level Program affiliated with City & Guilds, UK. Mid-Valley International College offered three major diploma-level programs, Diploma in Culinary Arts, Diploma in Professional Patisserie and Confectionery, and Award in Barista.

    Giving opening remarks during a special event held in the capital, Reetal Rana, Managing Director of Mid-Valley International College said that vocational training has new potential in the current world scenario. As students are pathing away from academic training this will help students build their careers and tackle unemployment issues, she added. “Feed a man a fish he will be fed for a day, teach a man how to fish and he will be fed for a lifetime”, she said. Rana also noted that MVIC students are taught to be a better version of themselves.

    Chef Santosh Shah, the winner of BBC’s UK MasterChef: The Professionals Rematch 2021 and the keynote speaker for the event, shared that vocational education can help students gain practical skills. The Chief Guest for the event Anand Patel Country Manager of City and Guilds for India and Nepal remarked on the new collaboration with Mid-Valley International College.

    During the event, Reetal Rana, Managing Director of Mid-Valley International College signed and exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with collaborative partners regarding internship and placement opportunities for students.

    Representatives from the organization team the Tamarind Group of Companies, Alema Education and Migration, GEMS international consultancy, Le Sherpa Concept, Hotel Himalaya, and Global Nepalese Chef Federation (GNCF) were present during the program.

    The event also incorporated the official reveal of the new logo of Mid-Valley International College. Mid-Valley International College is rebranding itself in terms of a new brand image this year.
