EDUCAST, The ECAN Lalitpur Educational Youth Summit 2025, organized by the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) Lalitpur chapter, was successfully held at Hotel Himalayan, Lalitpur. The event witnessed active participation from students, educational consultants, university representatives, and young entrepreneurs from diverse sectors.
The summit was formally inaugurated by former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Hon. Madhav Kumar Nepal, through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. In his address, he emphasized the growing significance of educational consultancy services in guiding students toward the right academic destinations and praised the positive role such events play in Nepal’s evolving education ecosystem.
The program was smoothly and effectively conducted by Mr. Sanam Maharjan, General Secretary of ECAN Lalitpur.
In welcome address, Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh, President of ECAN Lalitpur, warmly welcomed all distinguished guests and participants. He stated:, “Today’s era is defined by innovation, technological advancement, and the boundless potential of youth. In such a dynamic time, the true strength of any nation lies in the mindset, confidence, and capabilities of its young generation. Guided by this belief, ECAN Lalitpur has launched this summit not simply as an event, but as a transformative initiative — a movement for progress, inspiration, and meaningful change. We are also actively fostering collaboration with academic institutions across Nepal, with a shared vision of promoting quality education and positioning Nepal as a rising hub of academic excellence in South Asia.”
The event also featured a beautiful welcome dance performance by students.
Key figures in Nepal’s educational consultancy sector—Mr. Sheshraj Bhattarai, Central President of ECAN; Mr. Laxman Paudel, Central Vice President of ECAN; and Mr. Rajendra Baral, President of FECE Nepal—shared their insights on the current status, challenges, and future prospects of Nepal’s education consultancy industry.
In his keynote, Mr. Sheshraj Bhattarai stated, “The education consultancy industry in Nepal has served as a crucial bridge connecting students with international quality education. However, clarity in policy-making and collaboration among all stakeholders are essential moving forward.”
Mr. Laxman Paudel, Vice President of ECAN, highlighted the ethical responsibilities of the sector, saying, “This profession is directly linked to students’ futures, and therefore, ethics and transparency must remain at the core. ECAN is firmly committed to upholding these values.”
Mr. Rajendra Baral, President of FECE Nepal, stressed the need for strengthened coordination among the government, regulatory bodies, and education consultants. “It’s time that professional consultants are also involved in the policy-making process related to education,” he said.
From the institutional side, informative presentations were delivered by representatives from the British Council, University of Huddersfield (London Campus), and Davis University, USA. Additionally, Mr. Suman Kumar Shrestha, Nepal Representative of Pearson PTE, delivered a keynote highlighting the global recognition of PTE and its preparation strategies.
Adding entertainment and inspiration to the event, renowned comedian Sandip Chhetri conducted an engaging and humorous motivational session that captivated the audience.
The summit also featured diverse activities including a musical performance by popular singer Asmita Adhikari, a public speaking competition titled “The Speaking Talents,” a cultural dance contest, and an exciting RC Car Race, drawing strong participation and enthusiasm from students.
The event concluded with the distribution of awards, certificates, and tokens of appreciation to deserving participants and guests.
According to the organizers, the ECAN Lalitpur Educational Youth Summit 2025 was a grand, dignified, and well-coordinated success. The program officially concluded with a closing speech by ECAN Central President Mr. Sheshraj Bhattarai, who formally announced the end of the summit.
