FECON Sports Week 2025 Concluded Successfully; BFC Club Displays Outstanding Performance

    EDUCAST, The FECON Sports Week 2025, organized by FECON, concluded successfully on Kartik 28 and 29 with an energetic and competitive atmosphere. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Badri Bhattarai, Deputy General Secretary of ANFA. Designed to foster unity, discipline, and healthy competition through sports, this year’s edition featured enthusiastic participation and impressive performances across multiple sports categories.

    In the Rabin KC & Sudan Rayamajhi Memorial Futsal Tournament, Brotherhood Futsal Club (BFC) emerged as the champions with an excellent display of teamwork and skill, while Shubhayatra FC secured the runner-up position. Arun KC of BFC was awarded Best Keeper, Kavre FECON received the Fair Play Award, Rabindra Panthi of BFC was declared Man of the Match, and Subash Basnet of Shubhayatra FC claimed the High Scorer title.

    In chess, the Prabal Regmi & Upendra Thapa Memorial Tournament was dominated by BFC Club, with Samrat Pandey winning first place and Sujan Khadka finishing as runner-up. In the Saroj Thapa Memorial Table Tennis Tournament, Sandip Upreti from Shubhayatra clinched the top position, while BFC’s Satyendra Jha finished as runner-up. The first-ever FECON Women’s Badminton Championship showcased remarkable talent from BFC Club, with Mandira Shrestha winning the title and Punam Prajapati securing second place.

    Awards were presented by Mr. Rudra Sharma, Chief of the Education and Planning Division under the Ministry of Social Development, Bagmati Province. The event carried special emotional value with the presence of the children of Late Saroj Thapa and the spouse and children of Late Rabin KC.

    The event was conducted by FECON General Secretary Dipendra Pokharel, with overall leadership provided by FECON President Umesh Kushwar. Coordination was executed by the FECON Event Management Committee, led by Coordinator Nirajan Rokka and the entire organizing team.

    During the closing ceremony, chief guest Mr. Sharma announced the upcoming organization of an Interaction Program on Educational Consultancy Services in collaboration with FECON. According to the organizers, FECON Sports Week 2025 successfully delivered a message of unity, cooperation, and healthy competition through sports. FECON expressed heartfelt gratitude to all players, coaches, guests, and team members involved in making the event a success.
