EDUCAST, In an inspiring effort to bridge academia and industry, Himalayan College of Management (HCM), one of Nepal’s leading business and IT colleges affiliated with IUKL Malaysia, successfully hosted a transformative panel discussion at Webpoint Technologies, Gairidhara.

The event was chaired by Dr. D.R. Shrestha, CEO of HCM, with coordination led by Mr. Yagyaraj Bhatt, known for his dedication to linking education with industry needs. The panel featured 10 accomplished professionals from diverse sectors, who shared their career journeys and insights directly with the students.
Key discussion themes included how to transition smoothly from college to career, the importance of soft skills, market-relevant courses and skills, and realistic career preparation.
Panelists represented fields such as marketing, startups, AI, STEM, and IT entrepreneurship. Their real-world advice resonated with the attending students, who actively participated in the Q&A session. It was more than a speech—it was a two-way dialogue.
“This kind of engagement helps students understand market realities and shape meaningful career paths,” said Mr. Prashesh Rijal, Business Development Manager at HCM.
Established in 2001, HCM continues to evolve its BBA and BCS (IT) programs to reflect industry demands. The college is known for its internship placements, industry workshops, career panels, alumni network, and strong focus on leadership and personality development.
“HCM is not just a degree provider,” remarked CEO Dr. D.R. Shrestha. “We are a launchpad for leaders and innovators.”
This event marked a clear step toward HCM’s mission of preparing students not only for jobs—but for the future itself.
