EDUCAST, The International Career Counselling Centre (ICCC) successfully organized a comprehensive Pre-Departure Orientation Session on July 31, 2025, at its headquarters located in the Putalihub Building, 8th Floor, Putalisadak, Kathmandu. The event was a resounding success, bringing together excited students who recently received their Canadian study visas and are preparing to begin a new academic journey in Canada.
The session aimed to empower students with practical information and emotional support as they step into a new phase of life in a foreign country. The orientation was led by ICCC’s top experts including Mr. Ram Khadka (Managing Director and Senior Academic Advisor), Mrs. Kriti Khanal (RCIC – Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant), and Mr. Amit Shrestha (Senior Manager). Each speaker provided valuable insights based on years of experience guiding Nepali students toward success in Canada.
The topics covered during the session were vital to student preparedness, including tips on finding safe and affordable housing, essential documents to carry, insights into part-time job opportunities, awareness about common scams targeting international students, and long-term pathways to Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada. Students had the opportunity to interact directly with the experts, ask questions, and receive personalized guidance.
The orientation also served as a motivational platform, reminding students that strength, dedication, and commitment are key to overcoming the initial challenges of adapting to a new culture. ICCC reassured all participants that it remains a reliable partner for students, not only before departure but also during their entire academic journey abroad.
With a warm and interactive atmosphere, the event closed with group photos, good-luck messages, and a reaffirmed sense of confidence among the students. ICCC’s continued dedication to student success once again demonstrated its leadership in Nepal’s educational consultancy sector.
