The 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Education Representatives’ Initiative of Nepal (IERIN), a leading umbrella organization for education consultancies in Nepal, was successfully held on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Kathmandu.
The AGM took place at Aranya Boutique Hotel. The program began at 2:30 PM with registration and a welcome tea/coffee session, and officially started at 3:00 PM with the national anthem. The session was conducted by Secretary Ms. Manju Dhamala Thapa.
The welcome address was delivered by Vice President Rama Kadel, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the Panas oil lamp by the leadership panel, including Mr. Hemanta Bhattarai, Mr. Uttam Prasad Pant, Mr. S.K. Shrestha, and Mr. Narayan Bajaj.
During the meeting, General Secretary Mr. Yogesh Chettri presented the annual progress report of the organization, while Treasurer Mr. Dev Raj Thapa shared the financial report for the fiscal year 2082/83. Advisor Mr. Narayan Bajaj also provided institutional guidance and recommendations. The members approved the appointment of a new auditor for the organization.
Founding President Mr. Uttam Prasad Pant (2014–16), former President Mr. Manoj Parajuli (2020–22), Mr. Narayan Bajaj, and Mr. S.K. Shrestha shared their thoughts on IERIN’s establishment, journey, achievements, and future prospects.
Certificates were distributed to members during the program. A special open-floor discussion on the organization’s constitution (Bidhan) was also held. President Mr. Hemanta Bhattarai delivered the closing remarks, expressing commitment to making the organization more effective and accountable. Former President Mr. Manoj Parajuli expressed gratitude, and a short break of 10–15 minutes was observed before announcing the formation of the new Executive Committee.
The 12th AGM of IERIN saw the election of a new Executive Committee. The newly elected leadership has pledged to make the organization more professional, transparent, and effective in its operations.
Mr. Yogesh Chettri, Managing Director of Edu Bridge Consultancy, was elected as the new President of IERIN. President Chettri outlined plans to strengthen institutional capacity and further promote international education in Nepal.
Immediate Past President responsibilities are held by Mr. Hemanta Bhattarai, Mentor Institute (P) Ltd. Ms. Manju Dhamala Thapa, Humboldt Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., was elected as Vice President and is expected to contribute significantly to organizational communication and coordination.
Mr. Dev Raj Thapa, Magnificent Education & IT Services, was elected General Secretary. Mr. Laxman Yonjan, Eminent Educational Institute, was appointed Secretary, while Mr. Krishna Raj Pokhrel, Trans Globe Education Pvt. Ltd., was elected Treasurer.
The Executive Members of the Committee include Ms. Sujata Sherpa (Study Square), Mr. Om Prakash Upadhyaya (Om’s Abroad Consult – OAC), Mr. Rakesh Shrestha (Access Education Network), and Mr. Shasank Poudel (Nepal Education Consultancy).
The new Executive Committee has expressed its commitment to advancing Nepal’s international education sector and enhancing institutional capacity, aiming to provide high-quality and reliable services to students aspiring for global education opportunities.
