    EDUCAST, The Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Thai Trade Centre, New Delhi, successfully concluded the three-day exhibition “Journey to Thailand & Top Thai Brands 2025” at The Plaza, Pulchowk, Lalitpur. The event, which ran from August 29 to 31, served as a vibrant platform to introduce Thai culture, cuisine, products, and business opportunities to Nepalese visitors.

    Thai Ambassador to Nepal Suwapong Sirisorn inaugurated the event, emphasizing its significance in strengthening people-to-people ties and promoting bilateral relations. He encouraged Nepalese visitors to explore the diversity of Thailand, not only in trade and tourism but also in healthcare and education. “This event is a gateway for Nepalese people to experience authentic Thai offerings, from food and lifestyle to advanced education and medical services,” said Ambassador Sirisorn during the opening ceremony.

    The exhibition featured an array of Thai products, cultural performances, traditional Thai massage, and authentic Thai cuisine. It also included interactive sessions, free handicraft workshops, and exciting raffles with prizes such as a round-trip air ticket to Thailand.     Jupiter Media Highlights Educational Opportunities in Thailand

    While the event primarily showcased Thai brands and cultural attractions, Jupiter Media explored the education segment to bring valuable insights for Nepalese students aspiring to study in Thailand. The media team interacted with representatives from four leading Thai universities and one airline partner to understand opportunities in higher education, student mobility, and academic collaboration.

    Prof. Dr. Mitchai Vhongcheawchamnan from Prince of Songkla University, Design Graduate School, shared that Thailand offers advanced programs in design, technology, and research, providing international students with affordable yet high-quality education. “Our focus is on innovation and creativity, preparing students for global careers,” he stated.

    Atit Koirala, Director of Strategic Alliance at Dhurakij Pundit University, highlighted the institution’s strong business and management programs, along with scholarship opportunities for Nepalese students. “Thailand’s proximity, cultural similarities, and reasonable cost make it an ideal destination for Nepalese students,” he added.

    Dr. Yhing Sawheny, Director of International Affairs at Siam University, stressed the university’s commitment to internationalization and industry-linked programs. “We ensure that students gain both academic excellence and practical exposure,” she said.

    Similarly, a representative from Panyapiwat Institute of Management, speaking through Manju Dhamala, Director of Humboldt Educational Consultancy, noted the growing demand for programs in management, hospitality, and logistics. “We aim to create future-ready professionals through our modern curriculum and partnerships,” Dhamala mentioned.

    Adding to the educational focus, Rachana Ghimire, representing AirAsia, spoke about affordable connectivity between Nepal and Thailand, which significantly benefits students traveling for education. “We are committed to providing economical and reliable travel solutions for students,” she explained.

    Through these engagements, the event reinforced Thailand’s position as an attractive destination for Nepalese students seeking quality education, cultural diversity, and career-oriented programs.
