EDUCAST, The Nepal Educational Counseling Services Association (NECSA) successfully organized its first-ever ‘Korean Education Fair’, attracting an overwhelming response from students eager to pursue higher education in South Korea. The event took place on Friday at Hotel Everest, New Baneshwor, with the participation of around 5,000 students.

The fair was organized with the aim of providing comprehensive information to students aspiring to study in South Korea. Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with official representatives from renowned Korean universities and learn in detail about study programs, tuition fees, scholarship opportunities, and future career prospects.

Representatives from Daewon University College, Yewon Arts University, and Dong-Eui University attended the fair in person, while Namseoul University offered online counseling sessions. In addition, nearly 30 reputed educational consultancies from Nepal also participated in the event.

Students attending the fair received a range of benefits, including direct counseling, scholarships of up to 100%, on-the-spot admission opportunities, movie tickets, and attractive gift hampers. Many students expressed that the fair was highly informative and encouraged NECSA to continue hosting similar events in the future.

Speaking about the success of the event, NECSA President Santosh Khanal stated that the fair has helped to establish South Korea as an appealing higher education destination among Nepali students. He emphasized that the event also contributed to enhancing trust among students, parents, and education consultants, thereby promoting transparency and credibility in Nepal’s educational consultancy sector.

Despite a few challenges, the fair concluded successfully. Expressing his gratitude, President Khanal said,
“There are always some who attempt to spread negativity, and our sector is no exception. Even though a few tried to disrupt this initiative, we remained committed to operating within the government’s policy framework. Despite some discomfort during the opening session, the event was grand and successful. These challenges have only inspired us to move forward with more energy. I sincerely thank everyone who supported us.”

NECSA has announced its commitment to continue organizing similar education fairs in the coming days, further strengthening educational collaboration between Nepal and South Korea and expanding study opportunities for Nepali students abroad.
