EDUCAST, The Free Educational Consultancies’ Organization Nepal (FECON), a prominent umbrella organization representing education consultancies across the country, has elected a new executive committee. Mr.Umesh Kushwar has been elected as the new President, signaling a new chapter of leadership in Nepal’s education consultancy sector.
Mr. Chhabi Ojha, Balkrishna Bista (Gagan) has been elected as Vice President, while Mr. Dipendra Pokhrel will serve as the General Secretary. The Secretaries elected are Mr. RC KC and Mr. Rk Dhakal. Mr. Gautam Pudasaini has been appointed Treasurer, and Ms. Manju Lamichhane will serve as Joint Treasurer. The elected executive members include Mrs. Mandira Sitaula Gyawali, Mr. Nirajan Roka, Mr. Dhiraj Rayamajhi, Mr. Nirajan Siwakoti, Mr. Baikuntha Uprety, Mr. Yogendra Chauhan, and Mr. Rijan Madai.
The newly formed team is expected to lead strategic initiatives to strengthen Nepal’s education consultancy network, enhance transparency, and foster international collaboration. The outgoing President, Mr. Raju Niraula, has been acknowledged for his dedicated service and instrumental leadership during his tenure. His efforts played a significant role in institutionalizing FECON and raising the professional standards of the sector. With the election of this new committee, education stakeholders have expressed optimism that FECON will continue to promote ethical consultancy practices and contribute meaningfully to the global mobility of Nepali students.
