EDUCAST, Continuing its tradition of honoring Nepalese graduates of Pakistani educational institutions, the Embassy of Pakistan organized its Annual Alumni Get-Together Gala at Soaltee, Kathmandu. The event brought together an impressive gathering of nearly 450 alumni, dignitaries, and friends of Pakistan.

The alumni included recipients of various scholarship programs offered by the Government of Pakistan, as well as graduates who pursued studies under self-finance schemes. The event served as a platform for former students to reconnect, revisit cherished memories, and strengthen the long-standing goodwill between the people of Nepal and Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Mr. Abrar H. Hashmi, emphasized the importance of such meet-ups in fostering mutual understanding and reinforcing the cultural and educational ties between the two nations. He highlighted that thousands of Nepali students who studied in Pakistan had enjoyed rich experiences of the country’s culture, cuisine, and hospitality—memories that continue to nurture respect between the two peoples.

The Ambassador noted that more than 4,000 Nepalese graduates from Pakistani institutions are contributing significantly to Nepal’s development and are making their mark across the global diaspora.

Participants expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts to expand the alumni network and reiterated their commitment to further strengthening cultural, educational, and people-to-people relations between Nepal and Pakistan. Alumni also stressed the importance of education and training in emerging fields such as IT, Artificial Intelligence, medical innovation, and other need-based disciplines.

A key highlight of the event was the announcement of the Pakistan–Nepal Alumni Network, which received overwhelming enthusiasm from attendees.
