EDUCAST, South City College of Science and Technology, located at Birgunj–15, Vishwa, Parsa, is a Kathmandu University (KU) affiliated institution committed to delivering quality higher education in the field of science and information technology. The college has been steadily emerging as an important academic hub in Province 2, offering programs that are aligned with current industry needs and future technological trends.

The college offers a unique dual-degree program: Bachelor of Technical Education in Information Technology (B.Tech. Ed. in IT) / Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT). This program is designed to develop students who are not only technically competent but also capable of contributing to the education and training sector. By combining core IT knowledge with pedagogical skills, the program prepares graduates for both industry and academic roles.

South City College emphasizes a practical and skill-based learning approach. Students are engaged in software development, web and mobile application development, database management, big data concepts, and emerging technologies. Modern computer labs, project-based learning, regular presentations, and teamwork are integral parts of the academic process, helping students gain hands-on experience alongside theoretical understanding.

Graduates of the college have diverse career opportunities. Alumni are prepared to work as software developers, web developers, Android and iOS application developers, big data engineers, EdTech engineers, and IT trainers. In addition, the B.Tech. Ed. component opens pathways for graduates to work as TVET IT instructors and academic professionals in technical and vocational institutions.

Alongside academics, the college actively conducts and participates in seminars, workshops, career counseling sessions, and technology-focused events. These activities aim to expose students to real-world challenges, industry expectations, and evolving career paths in the IT sector. Participation in educational fairs and career melas is part of the college’s broader mission to guide students toward informed academic and professional decisions.

In this context, South City College of Science and Technology has invited prospective students, parents, and guardians to visit and interact during the IT Educational Fair 2026 (Career Mela). Visitors will be able to learn about KU-affiliated programs, admission requirements, scholarships, and career prospects directly from faculty members and counselors. The college believes that such platforms play a vital role in helping students explore opportunities and choose the right academic pathway for a successful future in information technology and education.
