Nepal–Germany Development Cooperation Negotiations Underway in Kathmandu

EDUCAST, Bilateral Government-to-Government (G2G) negotiations between the Governments of Nepal and Germany are taking place in Kathmandu on June 16–17, 2026. Held every two years, these negotiations serve as an important platform for both countries to jointly determine development cooperation priorities and agree on financial support aligned with Nepal’s national development goals.

Through the Nepal–Germany development partnership, investments are focused on key sectors that directly improve the lives of Nepali citizens:

🏥 Health Sector: Strengthening healthcare services through safer hospitals, improved maternal and child healthcare, and enhanced health insurance systems.

⚡ Energy Sector: Promoting clean energy access through clean cooking solutions, solar irrigation systems for farmers, and community-based municipal energy planning.

🌾 Economic Development: Expanding access to finance, creating better market opportunities, and supporting transparent and accountable public institutions.

As global development priorities continue to evolve, Nepal and Germany reaffirm their commitment to a partnership built on trust, shared values, and long-term investment for sustainable and inclusive development.
