EDUCAST, The Embassy of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan Nepal Alumni Network (PNAN), organized a ‘Free Medical Camp’ at Sitapaila, Ward No. 4 of Nagarjun Municipality in Kathmandu on Saturday, June 13.
The community healthcare initiative was attended by Dr. Deepak Mishra, President of PNAN; Ms. Sushila Adhikari, Deputy Mayor of Nagarjun Municipality; and Mr. Laxmi Ram Sharma, Chairperson of Nagarjun Municipality Ward 4, alongside local notables and volunteers.
A dedicated team of volunteer physicians—most of whom completed their medical degrees from institutions in Pakistan—provided comprehensive health check-ups and medical services to more than 100 local residents, primarily focusing on senior citizens, women, and children. In addition to clinical examinations, essential medicines were distributed free of cost, and a few high-risk patients were referred to tertiary hospitals for specialized treatment.
During the event, Deputy Mayor Ms. Sushila Adhikari extended her formal gratitude to the Embassy of Pakistan and PNAN for organizing a vital health camp that directly benefited the residents of Nagarjun Municipality.
Similarly, PNAN President Dr. Deepak Mishra lauded the long-standing efforts and assistance of the Pakistan Embassy toward reinforcing Nepal’s medical sector. Representatives from the Embassy concluded the camp by thanking the volunteer physicians of PNAN and the local municipal authorities for their outstanding coordination and support.
