ECAN Lalitpur Honored as “Innovative Branch of the Year 2025”

EDUCAST, The Lalitpur branch of the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) has been recognized with the prestigious “Innovative Branch of the Year 2025” award. The honor was presented during the ECAN Leaders’ Meet 2.0, held at Hotel Ichha, Simara, from July 25 to 27, 2025, organized by Central ECAN in coordination with ECAN Makwanpur.

The award was presented by Member of Parliament and Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Manish Jha to the President of ECAN Lalitpur, acknowledging the branch’s outstanding efforts in promoting innovation, technology integration, and student-focused services within the educational consultancy sector.

The three-day event was chaired by ECAN Central President Mr. Sesh Raj Bhattarai, with Mr. Semanta Raj Koirala, Head of the Educational Consultancy and Certification Division at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, as the chief guest.

Several key figures in Nepal’s educational consultancy landscape were present at the event, including Rajendra Baral, President of the Nepal Educational Consultancy Entrepreneurs Federation; former ECAN Presidents Prakash Pandey, Bishnu Hari Pandey, and Deepak Gurung; as well as outgoing and current representatives from eight ECAN branches across the country.

The ECAN Leaders’ Meet 2.0 provided a platform for intensive discussions and workshops on themes such as unity, transformation, transparency, and strengthening the education consultancy industry in Nepal. Notably, MP Manish Jha also delivered a keynote speech focused on ethics, innovation, and student-centric practices in the consultancy profession.

Mr. Bel Prasad Khatiwada, President of ECAN Makwanpur, delivered the welcome address, while Mr. Bhawanath Humagain, Central Secretary of ECAN, hosted the overall proceedings.

The recognition of ECAN Lalitpur with the “Innovative Branch of the Year” award symbolizes a growing momentum in Nepal’s educational consultancy field toward modernization and greater service impact for students aspiring to study abroad.
