Machhapuchchhre World School Honored on the 107th Anniversary of Lalitpur Metropolitan City

    EDUCAST, On the occasion of the 107th Anniversary of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Machhapuchchhre World School, Lalitpur has been honored for its outstanding performance under the academic year 2081 “One School, One Heritage Conservation Program.” The school secured First Position among institutional schools within the metropolitan area and was awarded a cash prize of NPR 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Rupees) along with a Certificate of Appreciation.

    Expressing gratitude for the recognition, the Machhapuchchhre World School family extended heartfelt thanks to Lalitpur Metropolitan City. According to the school, the award has further strengthened its commitment to heritage conservation and has provided added motivation to play a more active role in the preservation of historical, cultural, and local heritage in the days ahead.

    Lalitpur Metropolitan City formally celebrated its 107th establishment anniversary on Wednesday through a special ceremony. The event was attended by Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, and several other distinguished personalities.

    Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Karki stated that the government is currently focused on two key agendas: good governance and elections. She said, “We are eager to transfer power to a government that reflects the new public mandate expressed through elections. Therefore, I urge everyone to contribute from their respective positions to ensure that the elections are conducted in a cost-effective, clean, fair, and fear-free environment.” She emphasized that elections remain the only constitutional and democratic path to advancing the country toward good governance and stability.

    The Prime Minister also stressed that no form of anarchy should be allowed in society. She noted that security agencies are capable and active in controlling activities that disturb peace, violate the rule of law, or involve criminal behavior. Additionally, she called on all citizens to unite and work together to resist negative and disruptive elements.

    Participants at the event stated that the recognition presented on the establishment anniversary sends a positive message on heritage conservation at the school level, highlighting the important role educational institutions can play in preserving Nepal’s cultural legacy.
