EDUCAST, The third General Assembly and second Convention of the Active Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (AECAN) concluded grandly in the capital on Friday, unanimously electing Kishor Tiwari as President for a new term.

AECAN was originally established under the leadership of Tiwari with the objective of strengthening unity and professional standards among education consultancies, particularly those providing counseling services to students aspiring to study in Japan.

As Tiwari has built a reputation as a consensus-oriented and widely respected professional, member consultancies agreed to continue his leadership. Consequently, a new executive committee was unanimously formed under his presidency.

According to the decision of the convention, Meghraj Shahi and Ramesh Pathak have been elected as Vice Presidents. Damodar Fuyal (Prajwal) has been appointed as General Secretary, Manish Kumar Wardewa as Secretary, Mukesh Khatiwada as Treasurer, and Hiranath Maharjan as Joint Treasurer.

Similarly, the executive committee members elected unanimously include Sujan Lamichhane, Gangaram Basnet, Prem Prasad Sharma Paudyal, Suman Thapa, Radhika Shahi, Pramila Puri, Krishnahari Sapkota, Raj Kumar Maharjan, Subash Thapa, and Bishnu Adhikari.

Speaking after his re-election, President Tiwari stated that AECAN, comprising both experienced and young entrepreneurs, will prioritize providing accurate and official information to Nepali students planning to pursue education abroad.

“We have successfully established AECAN as a strong and professional institution,” he said. “We are committed to addressing existing challenges in the education consultancy sector while promoting unity and professional ethics among member organizations.”

Tiwari further emphasized that the newly elected executive committee will play a vital role in presenting the collective concerns of education consultants to the government and relevant stakeholders.
