Machhapuchchhre IB World School Successfully Organizes Annual Sports Meet 2082

EDUCAST, Machhapuchchhre IB World School successfully organized its Annual Sports Meet 2082 on January 29, 2026 (15th Magh 2082) at Shree Rajdal Gan Sports Ground, Lagankhel, Lalitpur. The event was hosted by Mr. Prastab Ghimire and Ms. Yureka Adhikari.

The chairing session was graced by Mr. Subash Neupane, President of the National Private and Boarding Schools’ Association Nepal (NPABSON), as the Chief Guest. The program was attended by Mr. Hom Nath Acharya, Principal of Machhapuchchhre IB World School; NPABSON Senior Vice President Mr. Bishnu Parajuli; Vice President Mr. Sambhu Adhikari; DSP Ms. Purnima Kumari Chand; Traffic Police Inspector Mr. Shreeram Bhatta; Senior Assistant Sub-Inspector Ms. Ful Kumari Poudel; Media Advisor Mr. Sunil Acharya; and principals from various pre-schools as special guests.

The event commenced with a march past by all players, the National Anthem, and a balloon release ceremony. The Sports Meet was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Chairperson, and Principal through the ceremonial watering of a plant on stage.

Delivering the welcome speech, Mr. Aakash Yadav, Outreach Manager, emphasized the importance of sports in holistic education, stating, “Sports nurture discipline, teamwork, leadership, and confidence among students.”

Speaking at the program, Principal Mr. Hom Nath Acharya highlighted the IB philosophy, saying, “Sports are an integral part of education. They help develop students physically, mentally, and socially.”

Chief Guest Mr. Subash Neupane praised the school’s initiative and remarked, “Such sports events foster healthy competition, discipline, and leadership qualities among young learners.”

The program featured welcome dances by PYP and MYP learners, Taekwondo demonstrations, and various sports competitions including Tug of War, Running, Long Jump, and High Jump.

Concluding the event, Principal Hom Nath Acharya delivered a vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to all guests, parents, teachers, students, and organizers for their collective efforts in making the Annual Sports Meet a grand success.
