EDUCAST,  A book titled “Komal Abhibhavakatwa” (Gentle Parenting), authored by Mathura Thapa, Chairperson of Hamro Balapan Nepal, was officially launched amid a grand program in Kathmandu on Tuesday. The program was organized under the theme “Parenting Education: A Need of Today.”

The event saw active participation from parents, educators, psychologists, and individuals engaged in various social sectors, reflecting a growing awareness around positive parenting practices.

The book was formally unveiled by Chief Guest Dr. Dhananjay Regmi. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of safeguarding children’s mental health, noting that even minor stress can significantly affect a child’s emotional well-being. He urged parents to raise children in a nurturing environment filled with love, care, and emotional support.

“Children are emotionally sensitive, and it is the responsibility of parents to create a positive environment for their holistic growth and development,” he stated.

Psychologist Dr. Ganga Pathak highlighted that parental behavior plays a crucial role in shaping a child’s emotional development. She stressed that guidance rooted in understanding, empathy, and open communication is far more effective than fear, pressure, or harsh discipline.

Similarly, noted litterateur Dr. Bidur Chalise expressed confidence that the book would serve as a valuable resource for parents, helping them adopt appropriate and constructive approaches in raising their children.

The publication aims to promote the concept of gentle parenting and encourage a shift toward more compassionate and mindful child-rearing practices in Nepal.
